of Nursing Practice program and post-graduate APRN certificate program at The University
of Toledo College of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing

State Boards of Nursing set standards for licensure. I t is highly recommended that students who seek admission to the BSN, MSN, or DNP programs at The University of Toledo, College of Nursing contact their home state’s Board of Nursing to verify that the desired program and its graduates will meet the eligibility criteria for approval for those credentials. Some State Boards also require approval of programs leading to an advanced practice certifications. Attention Former SJC Vocational Nursing Graduates:
SJC recently started offering an Associate of Applied Science – LVN degree in Fall 2015. Along with the SJC VN degree requirements, the following five courses are required for degree completion:
ENGL 1301 English Composition I
MATH 1314 College Algebra
PSYC 2301 General Psychology
Humanities or Fine Arts: One course - ENGL 2322, 2323, 2327, 2328, 2332, 2333, 2341, 2351; GEOG 1302; HIST 2321, 2322; HUMA 1301, 1302; PHIL 1301, 2306 OR Creative Arts (050) - one course [Fine Arts] ARTS 1301, 1303, 1304; DANC 2303; DRAM 1310, 2366; MUSI 1306, 1307, 1310
SPCH: One course - SPCH 1311 Introduction to Speech or SPCH 1315 Public Speaking or SPCH 1318 Interpersonal Communications or SPCH 1321 Business and Professional Speech
